Strategic Directions

As a voice for active living among older adults ALCOA works to:

  • Foster communication, collaboration and coordination amongst its members and other related organizations and individuals.
  • Advocate for older adults and active living as a priority on the political, health and social agendas within Canadian society by conveying consistent, persuasive key messages developed by its members to prominent and influential individuals and organizations.
  • Facilitate the identification, interpretation, application and communication of research and innovation related to older adults and active living.
  • Be a sustainable and effective organization by securing and managing resources efficiently. Such resources include: funding; personnel; volunteers; membership; corporate partners; administration; corporate identity.
